We believe every child has the capacity to succeed, and parents deserve access to effective interventions, practical strategies, and meaningful behavioral support to help their children thrive.
Andrea is passionate about helping families. She believes that families and parents can feel sidelined during academic and behavioral interventions. Her goal is to empower families with practical, approachable strategies that parents and siblings can use at home and in their everyday lives—not only when a child is in school or therapy. After all, when a child is struggling, the impact is often felt by the entire family.
Andrea founded Bright Layne Learning after serving students, teachers, and families for 25 years.
She has been a General Education Teacher, a Special Education Teacher, a Resource Teacher, a Behavior Classroom teacher, and a Special Education Administrator. All right here, in East Dallas. She has provided training to parent groups, school districts, and statewide conferences.
She has developed Autism programming for school districts, is proficient in Social Thinking® and TEACCH® models, has worked with students from pre-k to adulthood, and has led hundreds of ARD meetings.
As a parent, Andrea has worked with ECI, PPCD, special education, homeschool, college with disability accommodations, and the Texas Workforce Commission.
